The Clog's self-titled debut lurches between crushing punk, demented folk, and blown-out noise, finding surprising shape inside deep distortion, hollow tom thuds, and vocals that sound pushed to the edge of collapse. Charred, unpredictable, and cavernous, these songs crawl through the sewer before ending somewhere unexpectedly enormous, proving that abrasion and melody can occupy the same scorched ground.
