The Sprigs- For Red Riverbank

British experimental folk artist Rory Salter’s album For Red Riverbank as The Sprigs drags the early 1900s children’s novel Wind in the Willows through the mud of British labour history, stitching scraggly acoustic fragments and archival field recordings into a shadowy and haunted listen. Salter has the Grimm brothers' gift for guiding a naive childhood tale down a dark hollow.
