Harumi- S/T
Harumi Ando's sole and spectral 1968 self-titled record, produced by Tom Wilson in the same era he shepherded Dylan and the Velvets into the canon, remains one of the great cratedigger sacraments, a Japanese singer dissolving Eastern mysticism into American folk-rock with a visionary ease that the decade's more celebrated names never quite managed. A reissue finally arrives to do it justice, opening an inner journey that generations of psychedelic descendants have followed faithfully.
