"Wants For Everyone," the debut single from Slippers' sophomore LP Slippers 08 out in June on K/Perennial, pitched as "if you painted the Beatles with a rattle can and wax pencil," runs on cheerful brutality and pure sugar rush, snappy drums and off-axis guitar shredding that calls to mind the primordial Strokes at their most feral.
