Are You Kind?

Mossy Tapes’ Are You Kind? turns the Grateful Dead songbook over to the UK underground for a nature conservation fundraiser. From The Sleeves’ hypnotic, ambient-leaning reading of "Dark Star" and Joe Harvey-Whyte & Bobby Lee’s cosmic pastoral take on "New Speedway Boogie," to Klaus & His Family Computer Band’s wonderfully primitive 16-bit "Touch of Grey," it’s a beautifully idiosyncratic tribute that honors the Dead's spirit of open-ended transformation.
