Songwriter Jack Cooper and alto saxophonist Jeff Tobias reunite outside of their pastoral psych-folk perusals under Modern Nature with Tributaries, their first duo release on the prestigious Astral Spirits label. This new Cooper-Tobias collaboration is a two-sided modern jazz exploration imagined for Wicken and Debden, the confluent waterways of the River Cam in Cooper’s English homeplace, that meanders along with wandering guitar-sax interplay and momentary eddies of sacred silence.
