RF Shannon- Trickster Blues

As the red sun falls westward where the macadam road turns mostly to dust, a lonely West Texas desert night begins. Waiting there in the borderlands is Trickster Blues, the latest mythic desert blues collection from RF Shannon. Songwriter Shane Renfro creates mellow, cold-night atmospheres that drift in the breeze with airy guitar swells and dusty percussion thumps. More succinct and direct than 2017's Jaguar Palace, Trickster Blues is a towering mirage bending beyond the horizon. The band's natural and instinctive recording methods form an unmistakable bond with the landscape for a genuinely Western revue.
